How to find your Dell part number.

  • On any Dell part there will be a small white sticker telling you the part number. To find this sticker, generally look on the back of whatever part you have. This sticker will have 2 barcodes on it, we are only interested in one of these, this will be explained in the next step.

  • On the sticker you should see a really long number, the first 2 letters are the country code, followed by a dash, a zero, then the part number. The part number for this motherboard is Y4801.

Congratulations! You have now found your Dell part number! Now that you have this number, if you need this part number as a spare or replacement part you can call us.

Please note that most of the major manufacturers (e.g. HP, IBM, Compaq, Dell) part numbers have established corresponding spare part numbers (spare P/N#), or field replacement part numbers (FRU #'s) for their items. When you receive the part it may display this Spare P/N# or FRU # on it. You can easily reference this part number as a valid replacement part for your ordered item at any of the manufacturer websites.
